Ronald Wayne (Ronald Gerald Wayne) was the co-founder of Apple Computers which is now Apple Inc. with Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Ronald Wayne was born on May 17, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

At the School of Industrial Arts in New York, he got trained as a Technical Draftsman. At the age of 22 in 1956, he moved from Ohio to California. He started a company in 1971 which sells Slot Machines, which was his first business and it is a failure.

Ronald Wayne built an Internal Corporate Documentation System at Atari which was three years old. When he is working at Atari he met his coworkers Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak at Atari. Wozniak invited Ronald Wayne to give few suggestions about their first manufacture of Personal Computer Apple I. After discussing the new computer technology Steve Jobs proposed Ronald Wayne to start a computer company which will be lead by him and Steve Wozniak. So Jobs will hold 45% of shares, Wozniak will hold another 45% of shares and Ronald Wayne can hold the remaining 10% of Shares. Ronald Wayne agreed to the partnership and wrote a partnership agreement. Apple was founded on 1st April 1976, Ronald Wayne gave the first Apple Logo and wrote manual of Apple I computer. After completing 12 days of founding the Apple Computers, Ronald Wayne sold his 10% share of the company to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak for USD$800 initially and later accepted the final payment of USD$1500 which will be totaling the sum of USD$2300. Reason for selling his shares is to clear the debts occurred during his first business failure.

After coming out from Apple he tried going back to the Atari, he worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and at an electronics company in Salinas, California. Later in late 1970, Wayne started a stamp shop in Milpitas, CA, because of several break-ins he moved stamp operations from Milpitas to Nevada with a name “Wayne’s Philatelics”.

On a business contract for Apple, Steve Jobs approached him, but Ronald Wayne gently refused the offer. In 1990 Ronald Gerald Wayne sold the original Partnership contract papers which were signed in 1976 by himself, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak for just USD$500. In 2011 the contract papers were sold for USD$1.5 million. Ronald Gerald Wayne regrets this sale.
